1 The Fast And The Furious
2 Blazing Saddles (especially the famous beans round the fire scene)
3 Gone With The Wind
4 Star Trek: The Motion Picture (the original 1979 version)
5 Colon The Barbarian
I started off with the aim of listing 10, but struggled for weeks to get past 7 and even then I was stretching the association with bowels and colons a bit. If you can think of any more let me know and I’ll update the list.

(Btw, I love the blog, Andrew! A mutual friend of ours (Steve Richards) recommended it to me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and he was suggesting I might benefit by doing something similar. I’m not yet sure if I’m going to do one but yours sure makes me smile. It’s a great way to unload in a way that amuses and educates your empathetic friends, rather than burdening them. Sarah, thanks for your comment. I did take some time to think about whether I wanted to write a blog, as in some ways it did feel a bit cliched. Everyone now with an illness or when facing a life challenge is on a ‘journey’ etc. etc. and must share it. I’m not on a journey, I am living my life and trying hard to deal with the shit it has thrown in my direction. In the end I decided to write it for me, to make me smile and to help me express how I feel about me. You will find your way of doing that, if it’s a blog then enjoy it and don’t worry about what others think. Real friends (like the great Steve Richards) will go with you and will use what you express as a means of understanding you even more.
